I cut cardboard templates at every vertical grid line. Initially I used divider with pencil. As I got closer I used different colors of fine point markers. The first template took me nearly 2hrs . But intentionally started with the smallest cross section, so they became the rough cut for the next template in line. Most templates were done in about 15-20 mins.
The top is 2" lower at A pillar, 3" at B pillar and wedge cut to the rear. I made some slices in the top just behind B pillar to help the top flatten some. This also tipped the windshield back a couple of degrees. No pics, but I can say it was ridiculously easy on this car because the A&B pillars are so minimal. The only thing that was any real work was that I had cut the quarter glass frame out before lower the top and then sectioned the quarter glass frame to shorten that opening. This kept the side profile very similar.

I'm planning on British racing green. The true BRG that has a bluish tint to it. I really want people to look at it and think , "I forgot how cool those old Jags were"! So the intention is to keep the Jag style look. See ya at Oblong.
Thanks for asking, Phil

The rear fender wells are next priority, because they will provide some anchoring structure for the door latch post. They also are center support for the fender itself. I made an extension for my reciprocating hammer that allows me to rotate large diameter sheet centred externally and do circular beads.

Thanks Robert. I purchased this recip.hammer from follow forum member Andy Geelhoed ( Precision Guesswork). Previously I'd only used it for shrinking, thinning and consistent curved flanges. This was my first decorative bead. I'm sure it will be used in many ways before I'm done. It's so much easier to use than a bead roller in some instances.
