Default 13 foot guitar

Just thought you guys might get a kick out of this. The guy I work for was comissioned to build a "big metal guitar" for a local restaurant chain (wild wing Cafe).

Having been a guitarist for most my life I was able to help guide the design process for scale, placement, etc.

His friend has an industrial Fab shop so we made it there. CNC plasma cutter, massive rolling bender, plenty of miller mig welders, etc.

The large majority is 1/8" mild steel, although some details were 16 gauge and 18 gauge.

Pretty neat project. The first pic is myself standing next to it (I'm 6'1).

Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.

Looks awesome, I would hate to be the one to tune it.
Great job.

Show this to the "Guitar" shaped Hard Rock Hotel viewed while I transferred from Fort Lauderdale to Port of Miami and you may be required to build another for the entrance!!
