So, next I fixed the clutch tube. First the part on the firewall, I don't know what a PO was thinking with this thick piece?! ![]() ![]() So I removed it and found a damaged firewall: ![]() So removing what is damaged: ![]() Making the patch: ![]() Adjusting: ![]() Welded: ![]() And the front fixation, cut the access : ![]() The issue: ![]() Welded (pic was ongoing, I welded the whole length but forgot to take a picture): ![]() And closed: ![]() Stay tuned Antoine

So, I think the next step was quite logical..the battery tray
![]() I did built it by hand couple months ago: ![]() So it was time to adjust and weld it, first the bottom part: ![]() And then the top: ![]() ![]() All done and all fits great: ![]() I then found one last hole on the firewall: ![]() That I welded close: ![]() And now we have a nice engine bay/right long: ![]() ![]() Starting to look good! Antonie, they should send you a medal from Porsche. You should take a picture of the garbage you swept off the floor. That car probably doesn't have a healthy place. It drove somewhere on the beach or in the winter on salty snow.
Good work, of course, but I don't think you expected it to be so bad. The car looked good. It's scary. I'm sending you medals for bravery ..... ![]()

It looks like you've done this a few times!
With all the small spots you're uncovering have you considered stripping the whole body and sending it to media blast?
