Default 41 Chev pickup build

Hi Chris, I am glad you caught the bed shift, I noticed it a couple of pics before you mentioned it (by laying a long clear plastic ruler under the accent line of the hood, door and bed)
What you have now looks great. Congrats.

That looks great Chris.

What is the plan for the wire buck for the left fender? Will you make a new one, or weld up a mirror with the existing station wires?

Not quite like your sketch's, but close. The guard evolved as I was building the wire buck, especially around the rear section.

Thanks John... It's funny how a person can see something is not quite right even though it's barely discernable

Thanks Eugene. Probably make a new one. The first is easy, as you just build it. The second is harder because of being a copy. If I chop the RHS one up, I loose the reference of the shape. Still have to do the LHS bed side first.

Well done young Chris, your'e making bloody good progess.
I couldn't help but notice the quad bike. Does this indicate the closest neighbours are sufficiently distanced so that all the banging isnt disruptive ?
'Tis a common problem for townies

Thanks Christopha. We live on a rural property 5 mins out of town. Nearest neighbor is 200 yards away, but he's into cars, so it's all good.

Nice work shaping that guard!

I'm not so lucky on distance as one side my workshop is an inch away from their garage which is attached to their house and the other side 6' away from the other neighbour, (I have a corner block). Don't have problems with any neighbours regardless though as always interested in my progress.
