That's an understatement. This car is simply gorgeous, a real tribute to its maker! Love it!

I've been taking care of a lot of other business around the house lately but I'm back on the Cadillac now. I have a friend that is going to try to sort out the electronics issues for me early next week. Hopefully we can get this car fired up soon. Stay tuned...

I was being polite and didn't want to say anything about the deck lid. Glad to hear it's the ceiling, ha. That's awesome gloss then.

It’s looking so good! Can’t wait to see it rolled outside once 100% complete!
I hear you on the black. It’s always a great feeling to see a perfect reflection come out of a black or dark colored paint job. Unfortunately they only stay clean for about 15 seconds, and are so smooth and shiny that if you even think about cleaning it, you’ll end up with micro scratches!

outstanding! I will have a look at the glare products. I have used ceramics to a certain extent and have been happy with them, but if something is better I am willing to give it a try.
Car is looking phenomenal! Almost ready for the Grand national roadster show!

I forgot to mention that. This product has something in it that eliminates static electric charge. I noticed that in the first week. Before, with the garage door open most of the day, after a few days there would be a fair amount of dust, pollen, etc on the car. I never gave it much thought.
Now there's next to nothing settling on the car. Dust will still fall on it but now a breeze will blow it away. Also, the car has no static charge so it doesn't attract dust that would normally just fall to the ground.

My local glass guy finished my side windows, so I picked them up today. 1/4" laminated EZ Eye. Tinted green to match the windshield.
I have some 6061 1/4" U channel for the edge trim along the upper edge. It needs to be annealed and bent to shape. I already covered the annealing process so I won't go into that again. After the aluminum was annealed, I could bend it into shape by hand. In the bending process the 1/4" groove in the U channel closed up a little and the fit over the glass edge was too tight. I used a sharp V tipping die on the bead roller and ran it through the groove to open it back up again. Next I started the sanding and polishing process. I made it to the 320# sanding stage and called it a day. The pieces of tape on the glass are placed 1/4" from the edge so when I'm test fitting the trim molding, I can tell if it is fully seated or not. If not I can adjust the bends and try again. Without the tape as a guide, there's no way to know if the trim piece is down tight. These trim pieces will be glued to the window edges and held in place with clamps until the glue dries. I don't want to rely on the clamps to push the trim down against the glass.

Nice idea opening the channel back up again using the bead roller.
