Too Old to Learn
Greetings!
I was referred to this site and am excited to see what is going on here. I'm just now learning the basics of shaping metal. I'm building a 50 Studebaker pickup for my grand daughter, and a lot of the bottom six inches is missing from rust. I find it very gratifying to have the possibility of actually making replacement panels for the truck, and other old cars I have lying around waiting for resurrection. I live on a farm, raise cattle, have a bunch of old tractors (old iron farmer) and love making anything with my hands, especially tools. I like using what I have made. And I like to have fun. This looks like a great site.

Welcome to the forum, Andy. It's a great place to learn. I grew up dairy farming- I miss the cows but not the work schedule....

Thanks for the Welcomes!
Thanks to each of you who took time to welcome me to the forum! I'm not expecting to post much since I'm a novice, but despite my welcome thread title I love learning new things and am attempting metal shaping now. I am pleased to be part of this community.

Glad to see you made it, prepare to be amazed. You ought to paste a link to your thread on garage journal, let these folks see what you do on Saturday.
