Default Paul (3 Chiefs)

Hello everyone. My name is Paul and I live in Erlanger Kentucky. I'm about 10 miles south of Cincinnati Ohio. I have been a member of MM for little over two years where I have met many of the great folks here on this site. I have been to two International Metal Meets in Oblong. I am a diesel engine tech by trade but my passion and hobby is old cars. I have been partial to Pontiacs since I was a kid. My dad had two 1965 Grand Prixs. They were big cars but so fast. My brothers had GTOs and Firebirds. That is why I chose the name 3 Chiefs. I have 3 Pontiacs. I have 2 Grand Prixs and a GTO convertible. The GTO I bought in 1987. It was in terrible shape but I riveted in overlapped patch panels and covered with bondo. I painted it red and I showed it one time. I won two trophies that day. The car looked good, for a few years. In 2001 I built a 30x30 garage. In 2002 I started taking this thing apart. I am slow as I have a regular job and I am a single father. I have raised my daughter by myself since she was 3. She is 16 now and an Honor Roll Student. I could not be more proud of the young lady she has become. Anyway you can see why my car is still apart. I searched the internet for the correct way to repair this rusted body. One day I stumbled on Metalmeet and have made some new friends and I have learned a bunch. I do not do this for a living so my experience is little but I am learning. I feel really good about the repairs that I have made so far. When I get time I will post pictures in the project forum.
Lastly I would like to thank those I have learned from and thank all who take the time to post pictures and explanations of their metal shaping projects.

Kerry, Thanks for inviting me here. I am happy to be here.

Paul

Welcome Paul.

Knowing you from the Oblong meets, it's pretty obvious why your Daughter is turning out so well.

We're looking forward to following your progress.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. You all know I think a lot of you all too. Steve, I think you were the first person I talked to at my first meet. You helped me make my first slapper. Kerry you helped me understand some things and I bought my first beater bag and your DVD from you. Joe, I got my tipping wheel from you that year too. Tuck, well I didn't talk too much to you that week. I remember you had just cut your hand the day I got there. I think you had some stitches. I remember you gave up the TIG welder too and Uncle Johnny got it. See guys, making friends and memories. Good stuff. I hope to make more friends here.
