Default Workshop on Autobody Steel Working

Guys, I took some time off from teaching the workshops and got caught up on essential projects. Folks have been asking for a couple of workshops, so here is one - (short notice, I know .... )

3DAY, Working Autobody steel, Feb. 17, 18, 19 - Lincoln, Calif
(near to Sac Airport, and elevation well below the snow and ice.)
6454 Wise Road, a friend's well-equipped large shop with paved parking.

Straightening, smoothing, hot shrinking, gas welding, panel fab/shaping.
2 Power shrinkers, Pullmax, 4 Air Hammers, 4 complete torch/bottle sets.

I figure 8 students should have a good educational time.
: American Austin metal resto, Model A repairs, and 48-52 Chev. truck practice.

More info on website:
(Call 530-292-3506 for queries, reservations.)

The 2nd workshop (mid-March) will be on aircraft aluminum working, fab and repairs.
Aluminum alloys 5052, 6061, and 2024.
Dent smoothing, damage repairs, shrinking, annealing, layout and fab/shaping.
More details to come, same location on Wise Road.

Our host and I have done several significant aircraft jobs together, over past 5 years. He is going for his A&P as he has had a lot of experience re-building and repairing, has had his own plane for a long time - w/lots of flight hours.

Will be in Mid-March, still working on dates.

Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln is handling accommodations (TM Tech Workshop, Feb 17,18,19)

Should be fun and informative.

I've been to several of Kent's workshops and recommend them to you.

Not only will you receive an education, you'll also hear stories of many other master metal shapers Kent has known and worked with through the years.

Ron Covell, Autofuturist books (Tim Barton/Bill Longyard) and Kent White metalshaping DVD's available, shipped from the US. Contact for price and availability.

It's too far for me and my language is lousy, surprisingly everything is ok at work. I should have something to say about that.
I was interested in the stories of my colleagues... From my surroundings. Someone hides everything and shows nothing. Someone is very sharing and likes to share experiences. But we're all a little eccentric crazy together. Sometimes it is difficult to communicate information to customers or non-initiated professionals. He doesn't believe it's possible. They keep talk me about cnc and robots. They say me that as an individual you cannot do the job - literally "we have a team of trained engineers...". A year after this consultation, when they spent a lot of money on experts and destroyed a lot of material, they call you and act like they are giving you the chance of a lifetime. At that moment, the original budget needs to be increased with smile.
Hello Kent.

The price of education is steep and best borne by the ignorant or "intellectually dishonest" customer.
