Default Who knew

Although it's in the UK, this site has some information

https://www.usedflypress.com/

It's just interesting to learn something about the different uses.

Default Arbor Press

I always seem to be amazed at how useful an arbor press is. Yes, it's not just for pressing out bearings or roll pins. I have found that you can make small "tank ends" by pressing a round blank down a 15 to 17 degree taper and you will make a pretty nice tank end.

I first discovered this method playing with round blanks or slugs and old taper roller bearing races. The blank needs to be just small enough to start into the taper then you just press it as far down as you like to form the size of tank end you desire. If you use just a piece of round stock to press it through, you will have a flat bump in the middle of the tank end. If you press it through with a piece of radiused material, the tank end will be rounded in the middle as well. Once you do one or two, it becomes fun and you want to do it a lot more!

I used to have access to access to slugs when I worked at a precision sheet metal shop (drop from the CNC punch press).

You all should try it, it's a lot of easy fun!
