Antonie, you are making great progress.
Don't you need a complete chassis? Is it the same? I found it in an ad. Completely repaired - said to be like from Wolfsburg. I can check. Give a message. ![]() https://auto.bazos.cz/inzerat/174272940/vw-brouk.php

Thanks a lot for offering your help and sharing the ad! Sadly, this frame is too recent for it.
I actually need to change the frame-head as mine is twisted but rest of the frame is ok. I found somebody who can lend me a frame-jig so that will be done when I am further with the body :-) Bests Antoine

Ok, Only idea. I have a person who repairs similar frames - for Beetle and KDF. I don't know the prices, but the quality seemed good to me - replacement of all pipes and so on.

So, after that I turned my attention to the driver's back side:
![]() ![]() ![]() Creating a template: ![]() ![]() And starting on the part: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After a lot of massaging and finally doing it in 2 parts, it is ready: ![]() ![]() I then cut the rear quarter accordingly to check behind: ![]() And repaired the necessary: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And then final adjustment, welding, and this part of the quarter panel is done : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Couple holes/defects also have been fixed: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What a view : ![]() Bests Antoine

So, I then turned my attention to the front.
This fender was in need of attentions: ![]() So first was to get it to bare metal to check the extend of fixes needed: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The bottom of the back part will be done later when adjusting on the car but for the front part, to win some time I checked which part I had as extra and.. bingo : This fender was ugly: ![]() ![]() But looked like a front part was saveable as it had been badly patched over : ![]() So I removed it: ![]() Cleaned it : ![]() ![]() And then it was a matter of ajusting, cutting, welding: ![]() ![]() Tacked in place: ![]() ![]() Welded: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And primered: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Back part will be done as mentionned when adjusting the front block but it's already looking way better! Great luck on that one Antoine. When I saw the rust, I was feeling sorry for you. I scrolled down and bam, spare parts.
