'03 Silverado SS Twin Turbo Build
Here is my first thread. This is what i am currently building for a guy. Truck was 100% stock other than headers/exhaust, a few S.E.S. codes and a terrible misfire. Im guessing the truck was bagged at some point, or a very low static drop with big wheels.... Either way, more room for me! The truck does have a very cool "Candy Blue" paint job on it, so it only felt right to wipe it down and snag some pictures with the camera.
And then, get straight to taking the front end off (mostly) ill skip most of the boring stuff and get into the fun stuff

So this build was intended to be done with a small budget, but things didnt go as i would have liked them to go. Some VERY NICE parts and some VERY CHEAP parts in this combo... I can only point him toward the watering hole, whether or not he drinks it, is up to him.. SO we went ahead with the parts that he had and i started ordering everything else. Oriiginal plan was to use the cast truck manifolds. But he had set of "up and forward" facing turbo manifolds from Flowtech. After mocking those up, for the turbo locations he wanted, the flowtechs would need to be shortened a lot, which would look way better but shortening the flowtechs wouldve ate up a lot of "budget".. So then i hunted for LS3 manifolds with no luck.. Ended up using 2 drivers side truck manifolds.
Cast Manifolds - 2.25" V-Bands - 2.25" Mild Steel .0625 wall - Merge made with 2x3 .0625 wall, just barely hangs over the port openings on the divided T4 flanges. (this is the part where i appreciate constructive criticism ) that mill scale (i think thats the term) layer didnt agree with the welder the greatest, 2nd round confirms that side is almost done at this point. need to merge out before the turbo flange, a 1.75" pipe into the external wastegate

now to "mirror" the turbos location onto the other side, better this time around..

So the hotside just needs the external wastegates plumbed at this point. But this completes what i think is the hard part.. The main components in their permanent home and just filling the gaps. after hotside is 100% complete it will be onto the cold side charge piping. 3 inch aluminum .0625 wall into the 2 inlet into 1 outlet intercooler. From there into the throttle body and will have to find placement for 2 blow-off valves as well.
