That will look like it came from the factory. The next time the truck is done it wont look like Frankenstein when the bondo and paint is removed. Vehicle's are being destroyed everyday and these classic vehicle's will eventually disappear. I remember going to swap-meets and seeing old 3 and 5 window coups sell anywhere from $1000 to $3000. Today you will be lucky to find one for $15,000 and I'm talking about ones that damn near need to be re-bodied.

So I have a lot of respect for the quality of work you and your Dad do.


When your done chopping the top just re-name the thread and keep the whole build as one thread.

Annnnnnnnd basically the chop is done. There needs to be good time spent on the window mechanisms, he is opting for ventless flat glass. Right now, he is working of finishing the bear claw latches, and doing some work on the floors. That as well as making plans for the firewall and redoing the cowl vent removal.

I will be posting how to cut glass for a 54 like this one soon.
