Holy Crap, there Pugsy. That's looking fantastic. I can't wait to see it in color. NICE work!

Congratulations
Always a great milestone to see the metal work complete!
Your work is so nicely done it is a shame to cover it up.

Thanks Gentlemen.

The work is not that smooth as some talented fellas on this site can do, as this is my first shaping project. I don't have the ambition at this point to try and get everything perfect. Perfect for me is a skim coat of Bondo, hopefully 1/16" thick max. (maybe a bit thicker in spots if req'd...)

Now that the primer is on, some Kilmat can be installed before installing the false floor.

I welded some hole saw slugs in the back of the cubby door for solid attachment without bending the panel from tightening bolts up against sheet metal.

Stainless stand offs added.

I'll need to make up a new line later. "Pugsy luck" strikes again....

Mounting bolts. I took a stainless disc and countersunk it for a flat head stainless bolt....nope, not good....

So I welded up the seam and hit it in the lathe........

No good again so back into the lathe........looks better.

Still not so good so I chucked it up in a hand drill and buffed it up a wee bit. Looks OK but needs a smaller diameter.
