I added the back portion of plywood to my buck over the weekend.
I also almost finished my shrinker. I just need to bolt on the lower jaws.

Here's the latest progress on my buck. The steel is just wired in place for now while I deal with the imperfections.

Good work Greg. To simplify my work, I use paper and cardboard. He'll show you the line.
If you only make half the car and make templates, you don't have to use wire for the other side. https://www.allmetalshaping.com/show...t=20028&page=2

Here is the latest progress on my buck.
All the stations are in place. I still have a few fine adjustments to make. I also need to put in some cross bracing to ensure they can't shift. I have a design for the sandwich plate. I just need to purchase the aluminium. I have also had a trial run making the panel for the sill. I made a few mistakes but it wasn't a bad learning exercise and it feels good to finally be shaping metal.

Thanks, those photos make it look crooked. But it's not. There are a few areas needing some fine tuning. It will be challenging to get the nose, tail and dash to look good

This is going to look stunning. Wire form bucks, to me, are way easier than the egg crate style. Easier to change if you need to. The sub-structure can require just as much work when trying to pin it all together with the chassis

Thanks I hope so. Yeah, I like the lower cost of steel versus plywood. I like being able to see through the back of the buck to see how close the metal is. I like the way I can unbolt sections of the buck and move it to my other workshop or to give access to a part of the chassis. I still have a long way to go.
