Sune. Hats off with that polyurethane..... great result.
If you make stainless bumpers, it will last forever. I don't know how the polyurethane will last. It would probably be good to protect it superficially. It degrades after some time.?

Jaro,
There are a series of stabilizers, photo, chemical, etc. available to stabilize polyurethane.

Marc, I know, I use industrial polyurethane. After some time it degrades and changes color.
Rubber has a longer life. With industrial polyurethane, I was taught about the effects of light. And if I don't use the tool for a long time, the polyurethane will change its properties - it will lose its elasticity. If you keep pressing the polyurethane in a press and store it in the dark, it will last a long time with its original properties. That's why I'm asking about long-term experience with cast polyurethane. Among other things great material.

Thanks for the kind words
Jaroslav, i have thought about the degradation. I came to the conclusion that i would just take the chance and see how it behaves. I've used this product: https://www.easycomposites.eu/xencas...-casting-resin Under the "Product questions" they do mention yellowing from UV exposure. I've tinted the PU black which will make yellowing much less noticable. Of course there's longer term degradation not only from UV but also ozone. If it happens quicker than i expect I will re-evaluate. I have a mold and can cast new ones. Do you have any inputs on stabilizing agents? I'm all for learning

I suspected that, the comment was intended to provide general knowledge to those with little or no exposure to this "area" of activity.

Really nice job on the bumper horns!
Can you explain how you did the mold, pour, and used your vacuum chamber to degas? Details also please on the vacuum chamber. Home made or purchased?
