I had the young lad bring the wheel to my home finally as I wanted to get a smooth tail panel wheeled up.
I'm no expert so there are a lot of ripples, but much better than hand tapping. The home made tool is just two scrap bars with a washer a bit thicker than the panel. |

Edge reinforcing is a 3/16" stainless round bar.
You'll notice that in no way did I try to make the wire edge look perfect. One gets to a point where there is more frustration sometimes than enjoyment. About five coats of epoxy to make sure inside the curled lip is coated well. And scariness, attaching the first fender to the car. At the front of the fender, I have it mostly welded from the inside since I will be filling the outside in places and creating a rounded corners with filler lower down. |

Where I am today.
I got it cleaned up a bit yesterday but still needs a lot of planishing. My arms are too short or the fender it too big. Well, one of those anyhow. |

You are definitely giving that old Mopar some style, Pugsy! It's gonna look nice when you're done.

I got the passenger side welded on.
Had to drill a hole for dolly access. Not sure which side to put the gas fill nozzle on. Anyone have any solid reasons for why one side would be better than the other? Tail pan needs a channel on the top, which I did in pieces of course. Of course it shrank after welding. Lots of heat yet again. Corner bits. |

I had the guys bend me up a filler piece. It was marked from the bottom for a tip line.
Home made trunk popper. No outside latch or key. |

Got a functioning deck lid. And yes, I opened and closed it a bunch of times.
