Hi Greg,
Seems guys in OZ are using 1050 H14 and 5005 H34 on aluminum motorbike tanks, I would be interested to know if you find any local sources. Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve
The material I have to practice with is 1mm 5005 (I also think my 1.4mm sheets are probably 5005). I got it from Alsun Brendale. I have tested both 1mm and 1.4mm and both work well in my assessment. But I have never worked aluminium before so I don't have a point of reference. Feel free to PM me if you want to swing by to take a look/play.

Greg, if your supplies in Aus are anything like what we have in New Zealand, there will be very little choice in the gauges we normally use for car stuff - 1.2 and 1.6. All we can get routinely in hobby quantities in NZ is 5005, unless you want somebody to bring in 10 tonnes for you.
