Default New and from SoCal

Want to do metalwork on my cars and motorcycles, and airplanes if I can work things out with the FAA (medical). Currently investigating e-wheels. Hope there will be people here with experience since it's so hard to get in!

Have stick and MIG welders, grinders, lots of air tools (have to upgrade compressor situation...engine plus drive for 3 5HP heads that I might gear down a little, hand tools, some smallish machines. Etc.

Born and bred in SoCal beach cities, have only left for bit over 10% of my life. Used to race a little.

Hope that'll do for an introduction.

Hi and welcome Bob!

You might want to get a kick start into metal shaping at Santa Cruz. This year it will be on June 9-10. Here are some pictures from a couple of years ago.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the welcomes. Incidentally, Santa Cruz County was where I spent most of the time I've not lived in SoCal. Most of my undergrad terms, etc.

Can't make it to the meet this year -- sure wish I could.

Need to look into those hammers...

There's going to be one at Cuesta College, San Luis obispo, in July, maybe you can make that one? Pm if you want some more details.
