Default Old Dog Still Learning...

Hello, I am interested in getting started using an English Wheel to shape various abstract designs in Aluminum. Hoping to get some advice on the best wheels, resources and techniques.

I come from a Fine Art and Printmaking, Woodworking-Home Remodeling, Kitchen Cabinet making and Furniture Design background.

All good advice will be appreciated!

Robert

Robert,

Lots of information in the numerous threads.

Your rate of learning and approach to "mining" the information on this site will benefit from exploring the "search" function and a few few threads - including, but not limited to Go Jeep's Willy's thread, Jack's Cadillac thread and Jaroslav's numerous threads.

Some of the best tips I've received popped up in random threads. You'll pick these unconnected gems only by exposure over time.

Finally, recently, Bill Tromblay has been producing videos. He is very good in his videos and equally, if not more, impressive in person, as I experienced recently at the Red Neck Roundup.

Regards!
