Ed, I didnt realize that there was a shop so close that held classes. Looks like the Tinman classes focus heavily on machine usage. Which I am not against but wont have access to a variety of powered equipment at school.
I am contemplating a big tool purchase before I leave for grad school in the fall. Either a English wheel or a power hammer just not sure on direction I want to take or the versatility.
Jere, No I havent used your equipment. The majority of blacksmithing ive done was done in a recreated 1880's shop. I have never got a chance to use a treadle hammer. When I have smithed at home I have an old Champion coal forge and arm power.
