Hi All,
My name is Jeremy and live in the suburbs of Chicago. I have been a welder, living history blacksmith, and countless other blue collar jobs. In recent years I found myself in school studying art and I try bring my blue collar to my works. I have been playing around with sheet metal art but am looking to step up work and skills in metal shaping. Currently I have been reading untold hours on this forum learning tricks and processes. I am contemplating taking class from Dagger or Other...

Ed, I didnt realize that there was a shop so close that held classes. Looks like the Tinman classes focus heavily on machine usage. Which I am not against but wont have access to a variety of powered equipment at school.
I am contemplating a big tool purchase before I leave for grad school in the fall. Either a English wheel or a power hammer just not sure on direction I want to take or the versatility. Jere, No I havent used your equipment. The majority of blacksmithing ive done was done in a recreated 1880's shop. I have never got a chance to use a treadle hammer. When I have smithed at home I have an old Champion coal forge and arm power.
