Hey guys, looking forward to learning from you all. I happened across this site because i have developed an interest in WWII military jeeps. on the major forum G503 there is a lot of body / sheet metal work that is described and being done. When i run across items / term i am unfamiliar with I do a google search, happened across threads from this site a number of times, so of course I started to read it some also.

Biggest problem remaining a guest and just reading is a lot of threads have pictures that do not show if your not registered, big problem for me because i like to see as well as read.

getting to that age where i can retire soon and will need something to keep me busy, kids are about through college now and sports is over, well the helping out and coaching has been over since they left high school.

As a machinist if did work a little in the fabrication shop (that is what we called sheet metal work as opposed to metal cutting on a mill or lathe). Most of that was using a hyd brake or a press and a die. so hand working will be something new for me.

Anyone one in east central Iowa of new the QCA metro area drop me an email through the forum, maybe we could have a cup of Joe
