Default Newbie in San Diego

My name is Tony. I am a general manager of a CNC job shop and fabrication facility. We manufacture for our own product line and others. We make BMX aluminum Racing bicycle frames and machined components for others. We produce an open wheeled Formula race car and compete nationally with it.

I am fluent in 3D CAD and fairly decent with CAM. I program, setup and operate CNC Mills and Lathes.

I work and live in the San Diego area or California.

In my spare time I am making a WWI German fighter and there are cowlings and a nose spinner to be shaped. I do not yet have those skills but have similar experience over the years restoring old British Sports Cars and antique aircraft.

Tony, I live in San Diego and although I'm not the best metal shaper on the planet I do have some tools and could probably get you started.

Hi Tony. I think Iv'e gone off you already! Look forward to seeing some pics of the aircraft. Are you building a 'dreidecker'?

Some brilliant and helpful shapers on here. I'm not not one of them.
