Default TechShop Earl

I am new to the site. I have seen this site as a result of many Google searches.
I teach sheet metal fabrication and metal spinning at the TechShops. I am particularly interested in the metal spinning post. I live in Silicon Valley, California

Earl, welcome to AllMetalShaping. Most of the people here don't know much if anything about metal spinning. Many of us would love to learn about metal spinning including myself. We would be very happy if you would post some basic instructional information that would help us understand metal spinning. Thanks for joining us.

I had a chance to buy a complete spinning shop that was about 1/4 mile from my house. The spinner had recently passed away and his wife was selling everything for $10,000. I regret not buying the shop. Didn't have a shop large enough to put the tools in at the time. The spinner was a professional and did work in steel, aluminum, pewter, silver, and copper. Some of his pieces were sold by Tiffany's in New York.

Welcome, I was looking into signing up at TechShop, and still may do it, but I have to worry about my job situation first. I am just a few minutes away from you, in Campbell. Maybe sometime I can come take a peek at you spinning to see what it's really like.
