That flux core makes holes as the flux fizzles out of the weld.
I was taking the shape from the other side and it seemed wrong,then I realised the other guard is full of bog!! So I shaped it by eye and feel Im pretty happy with the result so far.Are you a panel-beater specializing in vals?
This one will be a weekend driver eventually so Im not going overboard on the restoration.Get the thing on the road and then worry about chrome,door trims, dash paint,bits and pieces.
