Default G'day from Australia

Hi Guys and Girls,

I have been watching this site for a while and final thought I would join. I'm a 25 yr old male who lives in Adelaide, South Australia. I currently work in a sheet metal workshop that specialises in prototype work for the defence industry. We have some wheeling and eckold machines in the shop that no one knows how to use, so that is what sparked my interest in metal shaping along with always having an interest in hot rods and Harleys. I'm looking at getting some stuff for home but due to there not being a lot of it in Australia it looks like I will need to build it and seeing some of the photos of your homebuilt equipment is a real help. I am very new at all of this type of work but I have a real passion to learn. I'm even looking at going for a trip to USA to Lazze for his two classes to help me get to where I want to be.

I have dribbled for a while now. But if I have missed anything you would like to know please don’t hesitate to send me and e-mail

Cheers Dale

Welcome to AMS from another Adelaidean. There is a growing membership from SA including myself, Dave Hattcliffe, Ian Bee, SATAUS and i may have missed some others. Lots of aussies on this site and help comes freely.

Lots of good knowledge here, and friendly to boot!

Defence industry is growing here in SA, despite Media Mike and his cohorts.

Again welcome and enjoy!

Defence... okay... can I please have the following items....

1) Rockets
2) More rockets... and a gun!

I am assuming the old WREI at Salisbury? I am a Woomerite, I lived in a defence town for many years.

I reside down south, but the way things are shaping up, us south Australians are going to have to organise our own meeting, and put it up on this forum, and be all important and stuff.
