Default Hello from Grantville PA

Hello, My name is Zach Suhr. I live near Hershey PA in a town called Grantville... I've been learning metal shaping for about 7 or 8 years now.
I attended Fay Butlers Class at his shop a while back and learned a lot. Soon after I found a local metalshaper who built race car bodies. He taught me a ton about how to do things by hand with home made tools, etc. Since then I have bought out his entire shop including all tools patterns etc to help him out of a bind... unfortunately he passed away in the beginning of May of this year. A great deal of knowledge was lost... and a good friend.... I am trying to plug away and still learn by studying the things he made and the patterns that are all around the shop.

I have a normal daily job doing Graphic Design work and also do other types of work on the side.

I hope to learn a great deal from the site and possibly have something to offer to help others out.

Thanks for taking the time to read this
Zach

Welcome to the group Zach. It's very cool that your friends tools and the skills that he taught you live on. Nice work on the roadsters and the lakester.

Default Welcome

Welcome aboard Zach, I hope to see lots of pics of your projects and tolls and equipment you have. I have a body shop about 3 hours from you, so it's nice to know there are others kind of close that enjoy this type of work also.

Welcome Zach!

I've seen your work over on the Hamb and it's given me LOTS of
inspiration. Glad to have you here.
