Dewey , what part of the northwoods are you in ? I have done quite a bit of snowmobiling in the Cable , Hearly, and Bayfield areas.Have you given any thought into coming over for our Oct. metal gathering in Dennison ? Steve Hamilton from Fondulac is comming over and is a fantastic contact for advanced learning (and a great guy as well ) Welcome Dan

Welcome to the site Dewey. I hope you find stuff here to help you improve your skills. The bodies look striking though.

I'm in Lac du Flambeau, so not too awfully far from the Cable area. And due to my newbie status here, I wasn't aware of the Dennison gathering. Is there a thread or other posting about it?

Dewey, here is a link to the thread on the meet.
http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=4192

If you have the time to go to the meet you should do so. You will meet a lot of talented people and Dan's shop is well equipped so you can see and use all kinds of tools used to shape metal. You can learn more at a meet in a very short time than you can reading about it and trying to learn on your own.

Thank you Joe and Dan for the invite and info for the Dennison meet. BTW, I had to Google Dennison to find it...it isn't even listed in the index of my MN map. Yikes Dan, you live in an even smaller town than Lac du Flambeau.

I'd love to come over but the dates unfortunately conflict with a trip we are taking to CA to see our kids. (I know, poor choice of priorities.) Also saw some mention of Back to the 50's in that thread. Perhaps that might be another opportunity to meet some of you since I bring one of my cars to that every year.
