Dagger Tools is Craig Peterson. A good guy. He'll be in Oblong next week. You should try and get down if you can. You'll learn more in a couple days than you could ever imagine.

Money is just too tight right now or I would...only working 40 hours is seriously cutting into my play money. If and when work picks up (hopefully very soon) I can maybe take a class or two...

Hi Shev,
By all means go to Dagger Tools. Before I moved from Westland, Mi I went there and bought some tools. I had met Craig at a Motorcycle swap meet and then went to his store. It was a great visit and we talked for at least 2 hours. His tools are great stuff. You, I'm sure, won't regret the visit.
I also recommend Ron Covells DVD-English wheel basics. Just watch and don't think that you GOT to have a english wheel right away to do it because you don't. My limited experience says just substitute e-wheel with a metal slapper and some kind of dollie. What I got from the video is that I didn't need to beat that metal as much as I was. I still tend to OVER beat anyway. Aggression therapy I guess.
