Default Hello from Sunny Southern California

Hi I'm Gary and live in Gardena, Ca (it's raining right now). As a kid I was into building cars and drag racing. Was into boats for quite awhile. About six years ago started building a hot rod. Started as a gmc s-15 pickup. Now it looks more like a 40 Willys or ford, total custom. However, all the mods were fiberglass. My new project is grafting a Morris minor and blazer chassis. I'm stretching the Morris to fit the blazer wheelbase (wife wanted the extra legroom). I joined Hot Rod Club forum and asked a simple question - fiberglass or metal? Everyone said metal. That's why I'm here. I'm doing a fastback on it, like the late forties gm cars. I'm a general contractor by trade specializing in wood so making a buck for it should be no problem. I need to gain knowledge beating it into shape. Looks like I'm in the right place

Hi, and welcome Gary!
Your lucky you have M&K metals in your town! One of the few metal companies I have found that carries 19 gage.
