Default Hello

Login is Crew Chief, name is Rick. Been a member at Metalmeet for a while and appreciate what the admins and founders of this site have undertaken. Thank you for your hard work and by having an unencumbered forum.

I'm pretty much a novice metalshaper and got into it by meeting the fellows that go to Sun-N-Fun each year. Great bunch of guys and are very helpful.

My goal here is to absorb as much of the experienced members knowledge as I can. If it is appropriate and I feel my skills are sufficient, I'll also offer some comments. Otherwise, I'm pretty quiet.

Thanks for having me aboard.

Rick

Welcome Rick.

We did the SunNFun event for several years and I really enjoyed it. Great show but the vendor prices got to be too expensive for the sales volume so we had to drop the event. I'm thinking I may go back as a tourist one of these days...

Kerry - I'm with the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association and we set up an LZ each year. Until the last couple of years we've been up by the front gate but the last two, we've been in the sites east of the welding tents.

If you come as a "tourist", and if we are still setting up the display, we would be glad to have you stop by. We don't know how much longer we'll be doing the show either due to politics, age, participation, etc...

This is an open invite to all members to stop by also. I make a point of visiting the metalshaping site several times during the show and have learned much by watching, listening, and asking. This may be the closest I'll ever get to a real metalmeet. I enjoy each visit, however.
