Hey everyone, my name is Justin. I'm out here in this beautiful desert in Mesa, Arizona with all kinds of great weather, which means lots of time to be out building somethin!! I don't know much about metal shaping and am teaching myself to weld, slowly but surely! I am here to learn as much as possible so that I can finish my projects the way I want, without having to rely on someone else to have time. Someday I hope to pass my passion to my son (4), and act like I know what I'm talking about lol.
Thanks,

Hello Justin, welcome to allmetalshaping. Welding is one of the most important skills for this work. I mostly use gas welding because it is easy to use and leaves a weld that can be dressed out fairly easily. Mig is OK for some work but leaves a hard weld that can be difficult to dress. What type of welding are you learning?.
