Hobby Farmer and Street Rodder from SW PA
Restoring my grandfather's 34 Chevy is what got me into metal working. The guys on the Southern Polyurethanes site generously got me through to this point, but I have come to realize that I have never learned the correct way to shape metal (even though I had to make a tone of stuff for this car). I paid to have a local shop to do what you see to the fenders below. I bought David Gardner's DVD, and used his methods to fix my fenders. Now I am hooked! Now I want to make some "clam shell" fenders for one of our old Ford tractors. I look forward to attending some meets as well.

Hi Strum, I am glad you found the DVD inspiring. We made some tractor fenders here a little while ago...
Is this the sort of thing you have in mind? they were easy enough to make untill it came to the wire edge which was 5mm (1/4") rod. this caused no end of difficulties. Yes David, the DVD helped a lot. Thanks for the link too, that is some really nice work. I attached some pictures of fenders like the ones I would like to make. They are for a Ford 960. I was thinking about contacting Gator to see if they would be a good project to bring to Gatormeet.
