My friend, Elpolacko, recommended this forum to me. From what I've seen I can contribute some and learn more. I'm a retired mechanical engineer with my P. E. registration. But when it comes to my skills at metal shaping, I'm a relative beginner. Book learning and design experience only goes so far. Hands on is just as important. I can design things, but send me to the shop and it can sometimes be a struggle. But since I'm retired now, I'm able to improve my hands-on skills. I'm looking forward to contributing here and there are a couple of car projects on my list that will require some serious metal shaping.
