I have nearly completed my workshop, 11.5m x 8m.
Over the years I have been following the various Metalwork forums and have been collecting my equipment accordingly. I have done little practical work, compared to many on this site, but am desperate to learn, have good hands and the time to do it. Ive been lucky to have built up the following: Pullmax Major, with a fair bit of tooling, Edwards English wheel, swager, folder, guillotine, Migs, Tig, Chinese English wheel (not so good), planishing hammer (good), rolls / bender / guillotine combo, compressors, oxy / ace, Myford lathe, Holbrooke lathe, linisher, bandsaw + large amount of panel beating hammers / dollies / stakes etc. To be honest - spoilt. It all started about with a rebuild for my Sunbeam Tiger, which didnt happen in 1978. Sold the Tiger, bought it back again in 2000, definitely needs a rebuild now! Cant wait! I intend to refurb all the metalwork gear as I install it. richard_lennard1@yahoo.co.uk |

Hi Richard
Welcome aboard, sounds like your already to go, nice size shop (not sure about our winters though) I'm up the road in Barnstaple full of enthusiasm but no workshop. Give me a shout if you need an extra pair of hands.

As it stands today.
Started the building 3 years ago, outer barn first which stores all the gear, workshop and stables and eventually will get our barn conversion. We live in a mobile home. My wife would sooner have decent stables and I would sooner a good workshop - everybodies priorities are different! Apart from help from a friend as and when, all the building is by my own hand. Its gone well and the end is really in sight. The photos show some of my gear and the workshop itself, full of dead Sunbeam Alpines / bits for my Tiger etc. Been collecting the gear for 20 years, have had some real giggles on the way. Photos of the gear arent very exciting because it is all stored on industrial racking out of harms way. If it goes to plan - I will send more meaniful pictures once the workshop is complete and I am fitting it out, eg rebuild of Pullmax etc PDR_0774.jpg PDR_0934.jpg PDR_0935.jpg PDR_0936.jpg PDR_0937.jpg PDR_0938.jpg PDR_0939.jpg PDR_0940.jpg PDR_0941.jpg

Ive watched most of the forums over the last few years and had totally missed this breakdown - excellent, many thanks.
Ive had no luck with similar for the Pullmax Major yet. Managed to get an original P5 breakdown / operating instructions. There seems to be little info re larger Pullmax - so if anyone has anything?
