Hello - I stumbled across this site today and it looks like a great source of information. I am a mechanical engineer and have worked with the design and manufacture of lighting systems for 20 years. We use CNC fab equipment at work and I have basic metal working tools in my home shop.
I have always liked old cars and recently started working on my 1970 Cadillac Deville. I am very much a novice but thought it would be a good project to try and experiment with making some patch panels . The car is pretty solid with the exception of behind the front wheel wells. My plan is to do the body work over the winter and then paint it flat black, put on some cool wheels and then my 14 year old son can drive it when he gets his license. I also am working on a 1915 Model T project and a few other cars so I have plenty of opportunities to experiment and learn. This looks like a great site - I checked out Thingsthatfly2's post and it looks similar to what I am doing with the exception that he is much more skilled than I am. Looking forward to learning from and sharing with you all. Mark ![]() ![]()
