I am in the process of finishing a power hammer machine I designed and am looking for a good quality set of thumbnail shrinking dies with the 3/4" post for sale. Any recommendations? I have built a chopper from scratch, ie. tank fender, frame, bars, controls, etc. however I am still a novice when it comes to forming metal. I was told by several experienced mc guys that my first tank was incredibly impressive since it was very complex. I am here on this forum to try to get myself ready for a much larger project. I am going to hand build a 1930's style luxury auto with an aluminum body much like the Duesenbergs of that era.

I bought some from Dennis at Hot Metal Engineering a while back - they work pretty good in my Nibbler. Still planning to build a dedicated machine with some throat depth.
They were on sale - no idea if he still does them http://allmetalshaping.com/member.php?u=5734 I also have two homemade sets (one very small like in Ben's "Shrinky" machine) and they work equally well after some tuning.... |
