Default Hello from Texas

Hello,
I'm Skip Wilson from Mesquite TX. been racer all my life (53yrs.) retired from driving a couple years ago. All those years racing, through necessity (low budget) found I enjoy making things, brackets, tanks, seats, etc. I've done plenty of bending, drilling, welding, and machining, but I think I like to try my hand at some shaping. I don't have any project in mind right now, just looking for something to start out with, thought I might look and see what kinda things y'all are working on if it's alright with you.

Thanks, Skip

I recommend going out and visiting with Tim at Irrational Metal Works. Super Nice guy. Shoots Straight and will definitely make you feel at home.

On another note, I'm in Garland, around the GB turnpike at Shiloh.... I've been gearing up to build my own Volkswagen based Plymouth Prowler Look-alike..... I am completely new to the actually "doing it" part of this stuff, but have been collecting info and machinery and more for shaping and building.

Sounds like you're probably already into fab work.

I'm running my world out of an overstuffed 2 car garage right now. If you get really good and into this Shaping stuff, I may want to come and check your set-up out as well.

Good to see another local around here.

Thanks for the Welcome Mat Gentlemen.
Tim, we used to race at Thunderbird whenever they ran sprints and our shop is just up the road in Crandall.
