Default New, From E Tennessee

I've been reading a lot of the posts here, and have already learned a lot, so it's time I join!

Most of my metalworking experience has been Blacksmithing- I started an apprenticeship when I was 16 and have been working at it as a 'side job' for a bit over 16 yrs now. But, I do all sorts of metalwork, I am an artist and do sculptural work, and I also restore boats and cars.

I have been 'idled' for the past year or so, as I did not have a workshop space to use... BUT I just completed building my new 24' x 48' workshop, and I am in the process of moving in- and want to get back at it soon!

I've got a number of shaping projects coming up in the near future- and I am looking forward to learning as much as I can!

Hi Andrew and welcome!
Now is the time to get everything organized in the shop! Or you can out grow it faster then you might think!

Thanks. I'm in the process of moving in, and deciding what goes where... This is what I have to work with-

It's a nice 24' x 48' x 12' building, with a 14' x 10' door. I plan to do my restoration work (Boats, bikes, trikes, scooters, trucks, and pretty much anything else that moves and looks cool) in there, as well as some other general work. To keep things clean, I'll eventually be putting up a seperate blacksmith shop. My woodworking will be in another building, a 12' x 24' shop that has been acting as a storage unit for all my tools/toys from when I made my somewhat unexpected move.

Once I get settled, I have a metal project that I'll need to pick some expert brains on- I need to reproduce a kind of complex part for a vintage boat trailer I'm restoring for an upcoming show.
