Hello everyone!
My name is David, and I live up in Fort Collins, Colorado. I've been a lurker here for a while, and I finally registered. I'm so impressed with what most of you are up to. I'm attempting to collect some tools now to get started. I've even been inspired by some of you to try and build some of the basic tools myself. I've learned a ton from a lot of you already. ![]() I've got a lot of questions. Most of them are slowly getting answered using the search, but I'm still stumped on a few. Sometimes the answering of one question can generate a few more. ![]() ![]() Hopefully I will have lots to share soon so I can give back as well. ![]() Does anyone know off hand how many pictures you can insert in a single post on this forum? I'm going to guess it's ten. When I attempt my first "building my own kit" thread, I need to know if lots of pictures are OK. I'm a fan of showing rather than telling when I share. ![]() Thanks and take care all! David |

Hi David, Welcome to AllMetalShaping. We have several members in your neck of the woods.
I'm not sure there is a limit on photos per post. I've never hit it and I'm sure I've had over 25. You don't want to make too many in a single post though because it can mess up folks on slow connections...yeah there are still folks on dialup. 400-600 pixel width is a good photo size.

Kerry,
You bring up a really good point. I forget a lot of the world is still on dial-up. Resizing photos is also not a problem. I could even limit the number of photos in a post, and just point people to the rest somewhere else on the net if they are interested. Thanks for the tips. ![]() David |

David, I just came from Fort Collins, was there from mid August till Jan. Never got to meet up with any metal shapers out there but did try. Beautiful area, welcome aboard.
They have a nice scrap yard there over by Wal-Mart & Home Depot for picking up metal for shaping and great stuff for building tools and other projects. I went there 2 or 3 times a week. Charley P.S. If you go to Jax for coffee tell the girls there I said high |

Cheese(gig) was dangled in front of me to get me there after Sturgis, then some different cheese(girl) was dangled in front of me to stay. Never got to taste the first cheese

Hi David, I'm in fort Collins too, about half way down Michaud lane on the north side of the road. Look for a bright red barn. I'm usually there on the week ends. Stop in when you can. What kinds of metal shaping projects are you interested in doing?
