Hi everyone thank you for the welcome. I have not been very active metal shaping at home latley
At work I have turned out a few small hammer forms that have made life easier, for us all while we are at sea a drip tray for the coffee machine in stainless was a big hit with the cleaner guy David :it was tdoty that put me on to this site just the other day when i went back to MM and found the datta loss jhnarial: Metal meet has held 2 meets a year since it started in late 2007 its a success is due to my friend Dale who lends us his factory and equipment. He's the guy that pulls it all together. Sadly it has been reduced to a more private group of metal workers . TV and other seminars brought a huge influx of novice shapers into the hobby with high expectations . and while thats a good thing they weren't getting the best out of our three days so metalmeet down under goes on its just not so public any more The big news is my hoosier wheels turned up so I can get on with my E wheel frame |

Hi Ian, Check out the Hot Rod mag's. Cruzin and Australian Street Rodding.
They have ads for Peach & Tommasini seminars, and also Ron Covell. Who had some classes last year, in Queensland. I think! |

There is a metalmeet being held up north in QLD.it is being hosted by Oztinbasher I think he is south east of Brisbane. you can contact him via MM.com or ozrodders.com he is holding two small meets
as his work shop is small steve is a very accompilshed metal shaper his latest works include a 34 ford rear 1/4 pannel (see ozrodders) and he has just sold a 34 chev roadster he rebuilt the rear half of it as for Melbourne MMDU (metal meet down under) public days are stopped until further notice good luck with your projects IanH |
