Does anybody have any up to date information regarding, delivery of the Tim Barton books Not to be insensitive to the families situation but current information would be helpful to all of us who ordered book #5 and expect delivery, we have all waited a long time.

Yes, an awkward situation.
I prepaid all 7 books and the dvd a long time ago, but it's not an easy thing to think about pestering a family who has lost a loved one. Hopefully, the Barton family will make good in time, but if not then I understand.

Is there a way to confirm that Books 5 and 6 will be shipped to those that have pre paid? Does the Barton Heirs have a confirmed list? I do not want to bother the family in their time of grievance, as they have enough to worry about and to get in order, I was wondering is there a safe time to send an e-mail to check? On one end this is a very sad situation, and also a hard one, on the other side you have many that have prepaid, and I am sure the money is not the issue ITS THE KNOWLEDGE that is wanted from this series of books that TIM Took a life time of notes and information digging, inquiries to companies, metalshapers, trips to take photos etc. just to write these books, to get this hidden information in print so future generations had some type of a reference library to go to.

I can say that I liked the damascening section and was glad that he did not leak the recipe that I still use. I was also very glad that he knew Bunny Phillips, as that answered the question about the hand -scraped Typ57 SC engine I built up a car around back in the day. It had the best scrape-job I have ever seen on any engine, anywhere bar none. And no beans were spilt on that one, neither. The secret is still safe, so far. yeehaw.
