Hi,
I'm Pete and I love metal work. I have been welding(mostly MIG) for about 15 years, and would like to improve my metal working skills, specifically, sheet metal for autobody. I have restored quite a few cars over the years, but would really like to be able to shape metal like the old time body guys. I fell in love with metal shaping at an air show (Sun & Fun) in Florida a couple of years ago. They had lots of tents on the airfield where you could try shaping aluminum for airplanes. I made a cowling, starting with a bag of shot and a hammer, then tried an english wheel and a plenishing hammer. Huge fun, got the bug. Now that I have a bit of a shop at home, I'm keen to get at it. ![]() Cheers |

Hi Pete,
Welcome to AllMetalShaping! It's good to see another Ontario member join the group, our numbers around here are growing all the time. Sounds like you got off to a good start with your metalshaping at S&F. Keep us posted on your projects, and post lots of pics! ![]() Ken
