Hi there. Found this website to be a precious resource, so I decided to register. I'm eager to learn more about metal shaping considering my professional activity (museum - industrial heritage), but mostly since a recent fender bender I had with my 56 Ford. Due to this, I had the oportunity and the pleasure, altough with a bitter taste, of assisting at a local shop while she was fixed. Metal forming was a big part of the job as you might imagine. Also the bumper had to be straightened at the forge as I assisted delighted by the craftsmanship of this old good friend.
Well, the bug has been bitting. Let's see what comes out. I'm heading to a local wood shop (yes I've got some good connections with resourceful local artisans and craftsmen due to my work) to have two or three mallets made so I can start something. Regards. |
