Post Hi new member from NZ

Hi, I just joined and keen to learn more, share experiences etc with working metal. My main interest is car body panel work; shaping metal, welding, painting. I've done various work on all my current(6!) cars; 73 Ford Capri, 73 VW Microbus, 69 Sunbeam Imp, 67 Riley Elf, 86 BMW 635CSi, 89 Daimler Double Six. The BMW is the next project in line and it needs much more repair than I've attempted before ...and not many body parts available, at the bottom of the Sth Pacific anyway.

Cheers
Garry

Hi Garry. Some interesting stuff that you have! Lots of very clever people here who are very giving of their time. I'm still in 'take mode' unfortunately...

I have had a 633 for the past 30 years which is also in need of some TLC, having been a Tourist Delivery car back in 1977. Unfortunately it saw some salt in Europe and has a few frayed edges now. There have been a few 6's parted out locally - Brent of BM World in Papakura seems to have one from time to time. Quite a bit of interest in turning them into race cars at the moment. I have a few contacts now in the BMW scene, so feel free to send me a PM if you like.
