Default Greetings from Belgium

I'll just keep it short

My name is David, and i'm from a small country called Belgium. I own a 1973 Opel kadett B Coupe

Which looked like this when i bought it:

Its beeing restored to its former glory (including its whopping 1100cc, 55 HP engine )

I've taken an interest to metal shaping, what you guys do is amazing! So i'm here to learn how to do it as well... I posted my first welding in the beginner projects section

Greetings,
David

Welcome David,

I remember those! An army buddy had one when we were in tech school. Lots of fun to drive. His got in a hailstorm and looked like someone worked it over with a ball pien hammer.

@Kerry

It's really peculiar... as far as i know the kadett was never big in the US. Yet alot of you have personal experience with them

Its sad to say i've never driven one myself. I broke mine down pretty much when i got it. However... i was a passenger in one a while back

@David

Europe has representation here i've seen. The fact that you are from the UK has been made known to me. The accent on a certain DVD is unmistakable

now i'll get cracking and post that beginners work i promissed.

Jinx, welcome and thanks for the introduction. One of the guys that I worked with had several Opel Kadetts and GTs that he used as daily drivers. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of your project. Thanks for joining us.

Hoi Gert-jan. De pics staan intussen bij de beginner projects

Ik heb nabij amersfoort in soest nog trainingen moeten geven een tijdje terug

GT's are also really nice cars. But also a good bit more expensive. They're among my favorite cars though ;-)
