Default And a new guy from NC

I have a little restoration /. fabrication shop and just can't stop playing with metal.

Here in Durham, NC we have a local membership / community shop named TechShop that has a full machine shop, wood shop, fabric shop plus more. The machine shop has four (4) knee mills (bridgeport type) one is CNC, Five Lathes a CNC Plasma and all sorts of extras, the wood shop has a CNC 3d router (shopbot) plus a fully equipped Cad/Cam computer lab.

I use the CNC Plasma (a lot!!) and really like playing with metal !

Cheers!

John Pasemann

ps - I am a Mopar nut!

Default Community Shop in Raleigh NC

Yes, anyone can go and work on things at techshop - there is a small monthly membership fee that covers the costs, but where else can you go and use upwards of $250,000 worth of equipment?

They have a website at www.TechShopRDU.com

They are in the process of adding a collection of "smithing" equipment to the roster.

Hi John welcome to the site, I am in the middle of building a 4x4 CNC plasma cutting machine I have everything but the motors at the moment. Never used CNC anything but I thought it would fun to do.

Private message me with some more info on the techshop. It would be worth the drive up from Concord N.C. for those resources!

Thanks,
David Gandy
