Default Newbie from Michigan

Hi all,

I've been looking at the forum incognito for the last few weeks as I have an art project I am trying to get started on that requires some metal shaping. I am a complete and utter novice at metal shaping, but there is a huge bank of knowledge here and I am excited to learn.

As I have no idea what I should post I'll just give a few details about myself in general. I am a intellectual property attorney by trade, trying to get myself involved more in the music aspect of law. I am into all sorts of creative endeavors on the side which includes drawing, music, bonsai, basic woodworking and anything that involves me creating something with my hands.

As for tools, I have a the HB set of hammer and dollies, a teardrop hammer, a stump, 12" beater bag, and a Lincoln MIG welder. A spring leaf slapper is on the way, but not done yet. If there are any other necessities I am all ears.

Thanks~

Welcome to the site Kyler. The tools you need depend on what you want to make.
