My name is Mike and I've been logging on and seeing lots of cool stuff here. I thought it was about time I contributed by sharing some of the projects I work on every day. I can't seem to figure out how to get pics into the post yet but I'll work on it and hopefully get something up soon.

Here's a pic of my shop truck project. I'm building rear fenders using the fronts as a buck and built running boards with raised pattern as original but lengthened them to meet the new rear fenders.

Truck looks good, how did you press the pattern in running boards?
Cheers

Made the pattern with a converted arbor press(to foot operated) and a punch and die set that I made to move freely but is attached by two pieces of strap to stay in register. I put pics of the setup in my album along with more progress shots but I haven't learned how to attach them so that they show up in a post yet.

Mike, nice job of the running boards. Like the way you converted the arbor press to a kick press. Interesting way you came up with to keep the dies aligned. Thanks for posting the pictures, hope to see more.

Wow, nice work.
I like the arbour press idea. Quite a versatile tool and that's important when you haven't got a lot of space. Mmmm might have to start saving ![]()

Thanks guys. The arbor press probably gets the most use of just about any of the shaping tools I have. Side benefit, I now kick like a mule.
