Default Hello from Ann Arbor

I am a full time Artist Blacksmith and have been working in metal since 1985.
Most of my work has been forging and fabrication, I have recently got the bug to work in copper and dead soft steel... I have started to accumulate the tools
required to raise and shape the metals in a sculptural form and that brought me to your site which contains information on tools and techniques that will relate to my attempts at shaping metal.

Great body of work shown on your website. I'll say that it certainly would take a full-timer to produce all that !

I enjoy all work in metal and would like to drop-in for a visit sometime.

Default Moving to Ann Arbor

Hi Michael! I'm new to this forum and I saw your post and took a look at your website! OMG WOW! and your shop is amazing too! I work in copper and precious metals and saw that you are interested in adding copper to your accomplishments. I love working in copper. I'd be happy to chat, maybe we could share knowledge if you are interested. My website is starrdesignarts.com

If you happen to have any info on the Ann Arbor Metal workers scene, I'd love to hear it. I want to get connected to other craftspeople before I move this spring or summer.
